Eliot Cutler sentenced to 9 months in prison for child pornography charges.

Former Maine gubernatorial candidate Eliot Cutler has agreed to plead guilty to four counts of possession of sexually explicit material of a child under 12 and will serve nine months in prison, followed by six years of probation and registration as a sex offender for 10 years. Cutler was arrested in March 2022 after an employee at Dropbox found a file uploaded by Cutler that appeared to depict the abuse of a girl between the ages of 4 and 6. Prosecutors found more than 80,000 images of children under 12 engaged in sexual acts. Cutler has agreed to pay $5,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
