Eliot Cutler to Serve 9 Months in Jail for Child Pornography Charges

Former Maine gubernatorial candidate Eliot Cutler will plead guilty to four counts of possession of sexually explicit materials, including thousands of images of young children under 12 being sexually abused. Cutler will serve up to 9 months in jail, register as a sex offender for 10 years, and be on probation for six years with all internet activity subject to monitoring. He will also pay a $5,000 fine to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Cutler, an attorney, once worked as a legislative aide to Maine Senator Ed Muskie and in the Office of Management and Budget in the administration of President Jimmy Carter.
