A recorded phone call between Lori Vallow and her friend, Melanie Gibb, was played in court during Vallow's murder trial. Vallow is accused of killing her two children and her husband's first wife. In the call, Vallow claimed her son was safe and accused her mother-in-law of conspiring against her. Vallow and her husband shared extreme religious beliefs and believed in light and dark spirits. Vallow referred to her own children as zombies. The remains of her children were found on her husband's property. Prosecutors argue Vallow was motivated by "money, power and sex."
