Family of missing 6-year-old flees country before Amber Alert issued.

The family of a 6-year-old boy with disabilities and chronic lung disease left the US for Turkey before an Amber Alert was issued for him. Police began searching for Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez after receiving an anonymous tip that his family members hadn’t seen him since November 2022. The Amber Alert was discontinued and replaced with an Endangered Missing Persons Alert after police found out that Noel’s mom, stepdad, and siblings had left the US on a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul on March 23. Noel was not listed as a passenger on the plane, and his mother has an extensive criminal history involving alcohol-related offenses.
