Fatal Assault: 66-Year-Old Man Killed in Queens Car Crash

A 66-year-old man, Jasmer Singh, was killed in Queens after being assaulted following a car crash. Gilbert Augustin, 30, was arrested and charged in connection with Singh's death. The incident occurred on the Van Wyck Expressway, and witnesses reported seeing Augustin rip Singh's phone from his hands before assaulting him. Singh suffered a brain injury and died the next day. The NYPD's Hate Crime Task Force is not currently investigating the incident, as they believe it was sparked by the car crash.
