Fatal Police Shooting in Charlotte After Officer Stabbed in Neck

A man was fatally shot by police in Charlotte, North Carolina, after he stabbed an officer in the neck during a domestic violence call. The officers heard gunshots from inside the apartment and forced their way in, encountering the male suspect. A struggle ensued, resulting in the suspect stabbing one officer before being shot and killed by another officer. The wounded officer and a female victim with a gunshot wound were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation will lead the examination of the shooting.
