Fatal Police Shooting of Knife-Wielding Robbery Suspect at Bronx 7-Eleven

A robbery suspect armed with a large kitchen knife was shot and killed by police at a 7-Eleven in Throggs Neck, Bronx. The suspect was seen behind the counter with an employee when officers entered the store. Despite repeated commands to drop the knife, the suspect lunged at an officer, prompting the officer to fire one round, striking the suspect in the torso. The suspect was pronounced dead at the hospital.
