Fatal Shooting at Meridian Church Parking Lot.

A man was shot and killed in the parking lot of First Baptist Church in Meridian, Mississippi, after allegedly attempting to rob an off-duty law enforcement officer who had his family with him. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident, which occurred just before a Vacation Bible School graduation ceremony was scheduled to take place. The church was secured and no one inside was harmed.
