A 25-year-old man, Quinterrious Patton, has died from gunshot wounds sustained in a shooting at a south Birmingham apartment complex. The incident occurred on October 14, and despite efforts by investigators to gather information, no arrests have been made. Patton's death marks the 116th homicide in Birmingham this year, out of a total of 162 in Jefferson County.
