Fatal Shooting Erupts Over Movie Theater Seating in Albuquerque

A dispute over seating at a movie theater in Albuquerque escalated into a shooting that left one man dead and the shooter, 19-year-old Enrique Padilla, wounded and under guard at a hospital. Witnesses reported that Padilla arrived at the theater with his girlfriend and found another couple in their reserved seats. After a confrontation that included a hurled bucket of popcorn and shoving, Padilla fired shots, killing Michael Tenorio. Padilla fled the scene but was found hiding outside an emergency exit. Charges against Padilla include open counts of homicide, shooting at an occupied building, and tampering with evidence.
