Fatal Shooting in St. Johns Claims Life of Portland Resident

Tyrell Martin, a 26-year-old Portland resident, was identified as the man shot and killed in the St. Johns neighborhood on July 9. The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide by gunshot. No arrests have been made, and this marks the 47th homicide in Portland this year, putting the city on track to match or exceed last year's record-breaking 101 homicides. Police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
