Fatal Shooting in West Wichita Claims One Life

The Wichita Police Department has identified the victim of a fatal shooting as 36-year-old Timothy Vandunk. Responding to a report of a shooting, officers found Vandunk with gunshot wounds and attempted lifesaving measures before he was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The preliminary investigation suggests a disturbance occurred leading to Vandunk being shot. The police state that all involved parties are acquaintances and cooperating with the investigation, and there are no outstanding suspects at this time.
