Fatal shooting of Black neighbor leads to arrest of Florida woman.

A white woman, Susan Louise Lorincz, was arrested on charges of manslaughter with a firearm, culpable negligence, battery, and two counts of assault in the death of Ajike Owens, a Black mother of four, whom she fatally shot last week in Florida. Lorincz claimed self-defense, but eyewitness statements and an investigation found her actions were not justifiable under Florida law. The case has put Florida's divisive stand your ground law back into the spotlight. Owens' family is relieved an arrest has been made, but they remain concerned it has taken this long because "archaic laws like Stand Your Ground exist."
