Fatal Stabbing at Macy's: Suspect Charged with Murder

Tyrone Tunnell has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and other offenses after allegedly stabbing a security guard to death and injuring another guard inside the Macy's store in Center City, Philadelphia. Tunnell was reportedly attempting to steal hats from the store when he was confronted by the guards. After leaving the store and returning later, Tunnell found one of the guards, pulled out a switchblade, and stabbed him in the neck. The second guard who tried to intervene was also stabbed. Tunnell was arrested shortly after fleeing the scene and is currently being held without bail. The Macy's store, which has experienced high levels of retail theft, remained closed on Tuesday but is scheduled to reopen on Wednesday.
