FBI Assures No Credibility to Emailed Bomb Threats Targeting Ohio Schools

The FBI is investigating after six school districts in Northeast Ohio received bomb threats via email, which were deemed "not credible" by police. The threats were described as "general in nature" and were sent to multiple school districts. The North Olmsted City School District, Akron Public Schools, Strongsville City Schools, Riverside Local Schools, Lakewood City Schools, and North Ridgeville City School District all confirmed the receipt of the threats. As a precaution, extra police presence will be provided at affected schools, and security sweeps will be conducted. Students and parents are urged to report any tips or concerns to the respective school districts.
