Florida Man Arrested for Cruelty: Throwing Dog in Dumpster After Owners' Death

A man in Florida was arrested for throwing his neighbors' 16-year-old Shih Tzu into a dumpster. The dog, named Xyla, was found with a rope around her neck inside a moving trash bag. Surveillance footage showed the suspect, Anthony Bellman, carelessly tossing the bag into the dumpster. Xyla was rushed to a pet hospital for evaluation, and detectives tracked down Bellman, who claimed he was taking the dog to be put down. Bellman was charged with aggravated animal cruelty and may be listed on the county's Animal Abuse registry if convicted. Xyla is recovering and efforts are being made to find her a loving home.
