Florida Police Officer Flees Traffic Stop After Being Stopped for Speeding

An Orlando police officer was fired after he fled from a traffic stop in his police cruiser. The officer was caught going 80 mph in a 45 mph zone and refused to stop when deputies tried to pull him over. He was charged with reckless driving, fleeing or eluding police with lights and sirens active, and resisting an officer without violence. The officer has been relieved of duty pending criminal and internal investigations.
