"Former Montgomery County Teacher Faces Charges for Sexual Misconduct with Middle School Student"

A former teacher in Montgomery County, Maryland, has been arrested and charged with engaging in sexual acts with a middle school student nearly a decade ago. The alleged abuse occurred in 2015 when the victim was 14 years old and the teacher was 22. The incidents took place inside the school, in the teacher's vehicle, and at various residences in Montgomery County. The teacher provided the victim with alcohol and marijuana and had sexual intercourse with him more than 20 times. The teacher, Melissa Marie Curtis, has not been employed with the school district since 2017 and is currently awaiting a bond hearing. Authorities suspect there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
