Four guns tied to Seattle Bite of Seattle shooting; teen’s ghost gun not linked to fatalities

Preliminary court filings indicate the Bite of Seattle gunfire involved four different handguns, and the bullets that killed two bystanders did not originate from the 15-year-old suspect’s Polymer80 ghost gun. Police recovered 13 shell casings and found multiple 9mm rounds consistent with the teen’s gun, but autopsies suggest the Polymer80 was not the firearm used in the deaths of Ashley Whitehead and Carlos Villalba. The 19-year-old Junior Cee Niko-Semo, connected to the suspect, also died at the scene. The teen is charged with assault in the first degree with a firearm enhancement and unlawful possession, with prosecutors seeking to try him as an adult; investigators say the shooting appears linked to gang violence and a second unknown suspect remains at large.
