Fugitive Fraudster's Lavish Florida Hideout: From Prison Escape to Palm Beach Mansion

Allen Todd May, a man convicted of fraud who escaped from a Colorado federal prison over four years ago, was arrested in Florida this week. May was serving a 20-year sentence for mail fraud when he orchestrated a $700,000 fraud involving oil and gas royalty claims while in prison. He was discovered missing during a prisoner count in December 2018. May was found living in a well-off area of Fort Lauderdale and is believed to have been "living high on the hog."
