Fugitive Wanted for US Murder Escapes Custody in Kenya

Kelvin Kangethe, a US fugitive wanted for the murder of his girlfriend, escaped custody in Kenya after being arrested and detained for extradition. He is alleged to have killed his girlfriend at Boston Logan airport before fleeing to Kenya. Kenyan police disclosed that he managed to walk out of the police station during a meeting with a man claiming to be his lawyer. His whereabouts are currently unknown, and a new search has been launched. The family of the victim, Margaret Mbitu, revealed that she had been planning to end their relationship before her death.
