Idaho Murder Suspect's Unusual Move During Arraignment and Police Standoff Indictment

The father of slain University of Idaho student Kaylee Goncalves attended the arraignment of Bryan Kohberger, the man accused of killing his daughter and three other students. Kohberger was indicted on four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary. The trial is set for October 2 and prosecutors have 60 days to announce whether they plan to seek the death penalty. Kaylee's father wants the death penalty to send a message to potential killers in Idaho. The presiding judge entered a not guilty plea on Kohberger's behalf after his attorney remained silent. The court will consider arguments against the gag order in a hearing on June 9.
