Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputies Shoot and Wound Suspect in Birmingham

A suspect was shot and wounded by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies in Birmingham. The suspect was taken into custody on Interstate 59/20 near Arkadelphia Road. The suspect's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. This is the second time a suspect has been shot by a deputy in Birmingham this month. The State Bureau of Investigation will lead the probe in this morning's shooting.
