Joran van der Sloot pleads not guilty to extortion and wire fraud charges in Natalee Holloway case.

Joran van der Sloot, the main suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway, pleaded not guilty to charges of extortion and wire fraud in a US court. He is accused of attempting to extort $250,000 from Holloway's mother in exchange for disclosing the location of her daughter's body. Van der Sloot is currently serving a 28-year prison sentence in Peru for the murder of a Peruvian woman. He was extradited to the US to face the extortion charges.
