Justice Sought for 8-Year-Old Killed in Chesapeake Hit-and-Run

Richard William Humbert, a 38-year-old man from Virginia Beach, has been arrested and charged with felony hit-and-run resulting in death in connection to the deadly hit-and-run of 8-year-old Forrest Hooper in Chesapeake. Humbert was tracked down by investigators and is being held without bond. Community members and local businesses raised nearly $60,000 in reward money to help find the person responsible for Forrest's death, and the funds will now go to his family. Surveillance footage from a local shop and a Wawa store played a crucial role in identifying the suspect. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.
