Kansas City Community Devastated by Recent Homicides

Kansas City has experienced a violent weekend with three deadly shootings in less than 24 hours. A pastor at Mount Washington Missionary Baptist, Willie Thornton, whose church is blocks away from two of the scenes, said it's sad to see people resort to violence instead of trying to problem-solve with conversations. He added that it's a community problem and it's going to take the community to fix it. Thornton is hopeful the city will come together and keep the attention high on gun violence in hopes of lowering the homicide rate.
