Las Vegas Cop Gets Prison Time for $165K Casino Heists

A Las Vegas police officer, Caleb Rogers, has been sentenced to 12 years in federal prison for stealing nearly $165,000 in a series of casino heists, including one where he brandished a department-issued weapon. Rogers, who struggled with a gambling addiction and financial troubles, apologized before sentencing. He was found guilty of all three robberies and will also serve three years of supervised release and pay restitution to the casinos. Rogers' lawyer plans to appeal the convictions.
