Las Vegas Man Arrested for Threatening Mass Shooting at Stanley Cup Game

A man with a history of mental illness and arrests was arrested by Las Vegas police for threatening to carry out a mass shooting at the arena where the Golden Knights would capture their first championship. The suspect, Matthew DeSavio, was taken into custody at the workplace of one of the 911 callers who had reported him. DeSavio faces charges of threatening an act of terrorism or mass destruction, aggravated stalking, and violating a restraining order. He has a history of domestic battery and stalking charges and was previously found incompetent to stand trial.
