Layton man's forgotten gun leads to triple-homicide.

Jeremy Lake Bailey, 34, has been arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated murder, three counts of felony discharge of a firearm, and three counts of aggravated animal cruelty after admitting to killing his wife and in-laws in Layton, Utah. Bailey had purchased ammunition shortly before the shooting and had given his firearms to a friend to be stored. One of the victims had contacted a therapist earlier that morning, expressing concern about Bailey's behavior. Bailey declined questioning without a lawyer present but made an utterance that he would rather get the death penalty than spend his life in prison.
