"Legal Proceedings Begin for Suspects in Chiefs Parade Shooting"

An attorney for Dominic Miller, one of the two adults charged in the Kansas City Chiefs parade shooting, appeared in court to request a modified bond or pre-trial release. Miller has been charged with second-degree murder, and court documents state that a bullet from his gun caused the death of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, with 22 other victims in the shooting. Lyndell Mays, the other adult charged, appeared for a preliminary hearing, and four individuals, including two juveniles, have been charged in the shooting. The disagreement that led to the shooting started when two groups became upset over the assumption that the other group was staring at them.
