"MAGA Sympathiser Faces Friday Court Hearing for Shooting Jacob Johns"

Ryan Martinez, a 23-year-old MAGA sympathizer, will appear in court on Friday for a preliminary and detention hearing after being charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault for shooting Jacob Johns during a prayer vigil protesting the installation of a statue honoring Spanish Conquistador Juan De Oñate. Martinez, who was seen wearing a red MAGA cap before the shooting, was apprehended shortly after fleeing the scene. Johns, a Native American, remains in critical condition. Family members and supporters are calling for Martinez to be charged with a hate crime in addition to the current charges he faces.
