Man Charged with Murder of Detroit Synagogue Leader Samantha Woll

A Detroit man, Michael Manuel Jackson-Bolanos, has been charged with the murder of Detroit synagogue president Samantha Woll during a home invasion in October. Jackson-Bolanos faces charges of felony murder, home invasion, and lying to a peace officer. Authorities do not believe he knew Woll, and there is no evidence to suggest it was a hate crime. Woll was found fatally stabbed outside her home, and the medical examiner determined her death was a homicide. The defendant is expected to appear for arraignment.
