Man Sentenced for Threatening Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene

Joseph Morelli, a New York man, has been sentenced to three months in prison for making threatening phone calls to Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. Morelli pleaded guilty to leaving voicemails in which he threatened to harm Greene physically. The judge deferred a decision on restitution, which Greene had requested for security upgrades to her home. Prosecutors argued that Morelli posed a potential threat and had a history of threatening others. Morelli's lawyer attributed his actions to bipolar disorder and stated that he is now seeking treatment and expressing remorse.
