Memorial Day Weekend Marred by Deadly Shootings Across the U.S.

At least 20 mass shootings occurred across the US over Memorial Day weekend, leaving 16 people dead and over 80 injured. The shootings took place in various states, including Arizona, Virginia, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Illinois. The Gun Violence Archive recorded 20 incidents in which at least four people were injured or killed. One of the shootings occurred in Hollywood Beach, Florida, where nine people were injured. Another shooting in Arizona left four people dead and one injured. Police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the Arizona shootings.
