Minnesota man convicted of beheading girlfriend in front of onlookers.

Alexis Saborit, a man from Shakopee, Minnesota, has been convicted of first-degree murder for beheading his girlfriend, America Thayer, in front of onlookers and dumping her body in 2021. The court found that Saborit's possession of a machete, threats made prior to the killing, and a tumultuous relationship marked by frequent arguments and accusations of abuse showed premeditation.
