Missouri Jailers Murderer Michael Tisius Executed.

Michael Tisius was executed by lethal injection for killing two jailers in a failed attempt to break out a prisoner in 2000. Tisius and his accomplice, Tracie Bulington, were arrested later that day. Tisius made a final statement expressing his faith and love for his girlfriend. The execution was carried out after a temporary stay was lifted and a clemency request was denied. Tisius is the third person executed by the state of Missouri in 2023.
