"Mother Sentenced to 14 Years for Death of Infant Found in Florida Inlet"

A Florida mother, Arya Singh, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated manslaughter of a child and abuse of a dead human body. Singh's arrest came four years after her newborn, known as "Baby June," was found dead in the Boynton Beach Inlet. DNA testing linked the child to a relative, and Singh admitted to not knowing she was pregnant until giving birth. She claimed the baby was already deceased when it went into the inlet, but she failed to seek help or call 911.
