Multiple Fatal Shootings in Downtown Jackson, Suspect in Custody.

Two people were shot and killed in a parking lot near the Jackson St. Paddy's Parade after intervening in a domestic dispute. The suspect, Jordan Kyle Cummins, allegedly opened fire on the bystanders and then fled the scene. He was later apprehended in Rankin County. The victims' identities have not been released. Capitol Police were working the nearby parade and responded to the scene within one minute. The chief stated that there was never a threat to those attending the parade.
