Multiple Homicides in Jefferson County, Suspects in Custody.

A woman was found stabbed to death in Jefferson County, while a man was fatally shot in Birmingham on Sunday. The victims have been identified as Erica Shontea Williams and Cornell Dewayne Richardson. The suspect in the stabbing, Cortrell Burks, is still at large and is also accused of firing multiple shots into a home in Birmingham. Four people were wounded in the shooting, but their injuries are not life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers.
