Multiple incidents of fatal shootings in NYC during attempted robberies

A 65-year-old man in Queens, identified as Charles Foehner, has been charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm after he shot and killed a 32-year-old man who allegedly tried to rob him with a sharp object. Foehner pulled out a silver handgun and shot the assailant as many as five times. The Queens district attorney will need to determine whether it was a case of self-defense. The 32-year-old had many prior arrests for robbery, burglary, drug possession, and other related charges.
