Multiple Officers Shot Outside Florida Hospital

A police officer was shot in the face outside Baptist Health South in Jacksonville, Florida, on Tuesday night. The officer is in critical but stable condition after the bullet lodged in his chest. The suspect, who had only a speeding ticket on his record, was killed by police after he fired at officers. The incident began when an off-duty officer noticed the suspect driving suspiciously in the hospital parking lot. The officer attempted to stop the car, which drove away, and other officers responded to help.
