Multiple Standoffs End in Arrests and Peaceful Resolution.

Cynthia Strate, a Minden woman, has been charged with terroristic threats and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person after a Thursday night standoff during which she threatened the Kearney County Courthouse. The courthouse was evacuated, and Strate was taken into custody after SWAT deployed chemical munitions into the residence. Strate had a .22 caliber pistol and had threatened to shoot up the courthouse. She was previously convicted of felony theft in Lincoln County in 2012.
