Murder investigation launched after woman found dead on Phoenix hiking trail.

Phoenix police are investigating the death of Lauren Heike, 29, who was found dead on a hiking trail near her home. Police believe foul play was involved and have released a video of a person of interest spotted running near the scene. Heike's body appeared to have suffered "trauma," and police believe she was attacked from behind. The alleged murder was so terrible that the killer would have likely stuck out to anyone who came across them on the hiking trail. Heike's family and friends are calling for anyone with information to contact law enforcement. Police have also put up an advisory warning residents to take safety precautions when hiking or walking, and to avoid doing so alone.
