"Nebraska Teacher's First Court Appearance After Alleged Sexual Assault"

Erin Ward, a 45-year-old Nebraska substitute teacher, made her first court appearance after being caught naked in a car with a 17-year-old student from Burke High School, admitting to having sex with him. She was charged with felony sexual abuse by a school employee and faces up to 20 years in prison. Despite the student being above the age of consent, Ward will not be allowed to have contact with him or any other minor if she posts bond. Ward, who is married with three children, was found with the teen in a parked car by deputies, and the teen fled after crashing the car, while Ward confessed to the deputies.
