Neighborly Dispute Over Leaf Blower Ends in Fatal Shooting

A 79-year-old man in Illinois was charged with murder after fatally shooting his neighbor, William Martys, while he was using a leaf blower in his yard. The suspect, Ettore Lacchei, had "various perceived grievances" with Martys, according to authorities. Lacchei argued with Martys before shooting him in the head. Lacchei was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. The incident follows recent cases of homeowners firing at people near or on their property.
