NYPD Shoots Knife-Wielding Man During Medical Episode in the Bronx

NYPD officers shot and critically injured a 42-year-old man in the Bronx after responding to a call from the victim's father, who reported his son was having a "medical episode" and was armed with a large kitchen knife. The man threatened the officers and refused to drop the weapon before being shot. The altercation was recorded on the officers' body cameras and lasted 28 seconds. The man was taken to a local hospital, and his condition is critical.
