NYPD Shoots Knife-Wielding Man in Bronx

A knife-wielding man was shot and wounded by NYPD officers after his father reported he was having a "medical episode" and threatening to kill cops. The man attacked another person with a knife inside a Bronx apartment before coming towards the officers with a large kitchen knife. The officers repeatedly told him to drop the knife, but he did not comply, leading them to open fire. The man is expected to recover and police are reviewing footage from the officers' body-worn cameras.
