'NY's Most Wanted' Robbery Suspect Shot Dead by US Marshals in NJ

Shamar Leggette, a career criminal and suspect in the robbery of flashy Brooklyn bishop Lamor Whitehead, was shot dead by US Marshals in New Jersey during a confrontation while they were attempting to arrest him. The bishop, known as the "Bling" Bishop, forgave Leggette and offered to provide his services for Leggette's funeral. Leggette had a history of armed robberies, including the high-profile church robbery and other violent crimes, and was also wanted in Rhode Island.
