Ohio Police Officer Shot While Rescuing Female Hostage

An Ontario police officer was shot and injured while responding to a domestic situation, where a 32-year-old man was holding a female hostage at gunpoint. The officer, a six-year veteran, was attempting to rescue the woman when the suspect fired, also injuring the female victim. After a four-hour standoff, the suspect surrendered to law enforcement, and the 16-year-old hostage was unharmed.
