Ohio Teen Convicted of Deliberate Murder in Fatal 100-mph Crash

Mackenzie Shirilla, a 19-year-old Ohio woman, has been found guilty of murder, felonious assault, and aggravated vehicular homicide for intentionally causing a car crash that killed her boyfriend and another man. The incident occurred in July 2022 when Shirilla, then 17, drove a car into a building at 100 mph. Prosecutors presented evidence, including security camera footage, showing that Shirilla accelerated the car with intent before the crash. The court is scheduled to hand down a sentence on Monday.
